ALL ACCESS hears that CBS RADIO News KNX-A/LOS ANGELES has experienced another round of layoffs WEDNESDAY, and has confirmed that veteran anchor LARRY VAN NUYS is among the departures.
Contacted by ALL ACCESS late WEDNESDAY, VAN NUYS, a veteran of the news staffs at KMPC-A, KABC-A and KFI-A and a prolific voice talent, said, "I have nothing but warm feelings for the amazing broadcast journalists at KNX as well as the management who have been so classy with me. But most of all, my thoughts are with the loyal listeners who depend on the Station for news and information particularly when things have happened that demand our best efforts. I have no doubt that they will continue to receive the same high quality that they have come to expect from KNX in the years to come."

Five other staffers have apparently exited the station along with VAN NUYS, and LARADIO.COM has confirmed that the list includes reporter VYTAS SAFRONIKAS, sports anchor JOE CALA, reporter TODD LEITZ, reporter KAREN ZARSADIAZ, and sportscaster CHRIS MADSEN.
