NAB Sends Thank-You Note To Steve Jobs

Thanks, Steve, Radio Needed That...

APPLE CEO STEVE JOBS has received a letter from the NAB hierarchy, praising the company for including a broadcast radio receiver in the next generation of the iPOD NANO. NAB Joint Board Chairman STEVE NEWBERRY, NAB Radio Board Chairman CHARLES WARFIELD, Acting NAB Pres./CEO JANET MCGREGOR and NAB EVP/Radio JOHN DAVID signed the letter.

The new functionality will "give radio listeners and iPOD users the seamless ability to discover music on free and local stations and to purchase songs they enjoy through APPLE iTUNES," the letter reads. "The reciprocal benefits are far-reaching and extend beyond our respective businesses, benefiting American consumers, musicians and record labels as well."
