The AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE's ROCHESTER AMERICANS have inked a three-year deal with CLEAR CHANNEL's ROCHESTER cluster. The AMERKS will air this season on Sports WHTK-A/F. DON STEVENS and RIC SEILING return to call the action, with SEILING and JOE GIULIANO hosting pre-game, intermission, and post-game reports and the post-game call-in show for home games at BLUE CROSS ARENA. AMERKS VP of Hockey Operations TED NOLAN will appear every WEDNESDAY on DI TULLIO's show, starting SEPTEMBER 30th.
"We are pleased to working with CLEAR CHANNEL and WHTK to broadcast the AMERKS games for the next three years," said AMERKS Pres. LEWIS STAATS. "We are expecting a renewed excitement with the team this year and hope the fans tune in to catch all of the action and call in to our own postgame show after each home game"
"We are really excited to be entering into our 14th season with the ROCHESTER AMERKS. The timing couldn't be better," said PD JEFF HOWLETT, noting the launch of the new FM simulcast. "With the popularity of FOX SPORTS RADIO, JIM ROME, the addition of DAN PATRICK, and a move by JOHN DI TULLIO to afternoons, local sports fans will be pleased with our extended reach and quality, as well as our commitment to broadcasting local sports."
