Freedom Comes To KCMD

ALPHA BROADCASTING has reimaged pending acquisition Talk KCMD-A/PORTLAND, OR, which it is LMAing from CBS RADIO before closing, as “FREEDOM 970."  The station has added TALK RADIO NETWORK’s "AMERICA'S MORNING NEWS,” while the rest of the lineup remains intact, including DIAL GLOBAL’s MICHAEL SMERCONISH and TODD SCHNITT, PREMIERE’s JASON LEWIS, TRN’s RUSTY HUMPHRIES and PHIL HENDRIE, and the syndicated JOHN AND JEFF show.

"These are interesting times and each of us is affected differently by the decisions coming out of WASHINGTON, D.C.," said VP/Programming Talk Stations BRIAN JENNINGS.  "The AM dial has many viewpoints represented, but I feel we have lined up the most well informed radio hosts available for FREEDOM 970.  Let Freedom ring!"
