CLEAR CHANNEL Country KNIX/PHOENIX morning co-host MATT McALLISTER appeared on the syndicated "Live With Regis & Kelly" show today (9/15). MATT attempted to break the GUINESS WORLD RECORD for most T-shirts worn at one time.
He had previously set the record on CBS-TV's "Late Show With David Letterman" in 2006 by wearing 155 shirts, but it has since been broken and re-set by someone else at 227.
MATT tried once more on "Regis & Kelly," with his co-host, BEN CAMPBELL, assisting him in putting on the shirts. After starting to get dizzy, as he donned his 177th shirt, MATT had to be cut out of them so paramedics could put him on oxygen.
Following the show, MATT announced he would "retire" from trying to break the world record. Click here to see how it all went down.
