COMCAST-SPECTACOR, owner of the PHILADELPHIA FLYERS and PHILADELPHIA 76ERS, has taken over ad sales for the teams' games under a new three-year deal with incumbent flagship CBS RADIO Sports WIP-A/PHILADELPHIA, according to the PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS.
MIKE THORNTON, who formerly served as President of the minor league hockey PHILADELPHIA PHANTOMS (who moved to GLENS FALLS, NY for this season due to the closing of the SPECTRUM), will oversee COMCAST-SPECTACOR's radio operations as PD.
