AC BBC RADIO 2 makes it official and names sister Talk BBC RADIO 5 LIVE host SIMON MAYO as its new afternoon-drive host, filling the gap to be left in the new year when CHRIS EVANS moves to mornings to take over from the semi-retiring Sir TERRY WOGAN. 

MAYO will continue to do his two-hour FRIDAY afternoon 2-4p movie show with MARK KERMODE on 5 LIVE; he had previously indicated that he would not be staying with 5 LIVE when the station makes its move from LONDON to SALFORD in MANCHESTER.
