Veteran talk host AUSTIN HILL is joining PEAK BROADCASTING Talk KIDO-A/BOISE for afternoons 3-6p MT, beginning SEPTEMBER 24th. The show is the second live-local show to join the KIDO lineup in recent weeks, following the introduction of former KDKA-A/PITTSBURGH host KEVIN MILLER for mornings.
HILL, who hosted shows at KFYI-A and KKNT-A/PHOENIX before handling extended fill-in stints at KTAR-F/PHOENIX and WMAL-A/WASHINGTON, among other major stations, is an editorial contributor to U.S. NEWS AND WORLD REPORT, a columnist with TOWNHALL.COM, and a frequent guest on FOX NEWS CHANNEL and FOX TALK RADIO. He is also the author of the books "White House Confidential" and "The Virtues of Capitalism." HILL recently wrote a column for the EAST VALLEY TRIBUNE about his fill-in stint for the ailing DARRELL ANKARLO at BONNEVILLE Talk KTAR-F/PHOENIX and the extraordinary treatment afforded ANKARLO by the company during his recovery; read it here.
PEAK BOISE SVP/Market Manager KEVIN GODWIN "The addition of AUSTIN to the already strong local programming offered by KIDO serves to underscore our investment in quality live and local information and entertainment for the TREASURE VALLEY. The extraordinary current political and financial events of the time demand a greater commitment to our listeners, advertisers, and the business community at large. KIDO will continue to lead in the acquisition and development of premium LOCAL programming to our area."
Dir. of Programming JASON WILMOT added, "Over the past year, BOB BEHLER and our play-by-play team have brought an incredible new energy to listeners hearing the BOISE STATE games now on KIDO. In the past month, our new morning-drive talent KEVIN MILLER has created a compelling local radio show to rave reviews from advertisers and listeners alike. Now with the addition of AUSTIN HILL to 580 KIDO, no other radio station in the TREASURE VALLEY will offer more live and local News/Talk/Sports programming."
