John McEnaney Passes

Condolences to the family and friends of JOHN MCENANEY, who created the unforgettable backwoods radio character for SPRINGFIELDERS in 1948. MCENANEY died SATURDAY morning, SEPTEMBER 19th, in Bahai Oaks Lodge, an assisted living facility in SARASOTA, Fl. He was 83.

Aside from his early radio career on SPRINGFIELD stations WIZE and WBLY, MCENANEY spent 31 years as owner and operator of MCENANEY PRINTING, then 10 more years in sales for PROCESS PRINTING CO.
