WAWZ Broadcasts 'Prayer In The Square'

PILLAR OF FIRE Christian AC WAWZ (STAR 99.1)/NEW YORK CITY PD/morning host JOHNNY STONE recently hosted a live broadcast of the PRAYER IN THE SQUARE event on SEPTEMBER 20th for the second year in a row. The event was presented by TIMES SQUARE CHURCH and brought approximately 40,000 people to TIMES SQUARE. WAWZ broadcast the entire prayer service from 3 to 4:15p (ET).

NEW YORK CITY Mayor MICHAEL BLOOMBERG proclaimed SEPTEMBER 20th, 2009 "PRAYER IN THE SQUARE" DAY saying, "Today people from across the country of different denominations and backgrounds come together in their shared vision of a better world and their belief in the power of prayer to make a positive impact on us all.”
