Gretchen Wilson Receives Honors For Literacy Work

Country artist GRETCHEN WILSON received an additional honor when she went to WASHINGTON, DC last week to accept the 2009 National Coalition for Literacy Leadership Award at a reception at the LIBRARY OF CONGRESS. Following GRETCHEN's acceptance speech, Congressman MARSHA BLACKBURN read a statement that she had read that morning in front of CONGRESS honoring the accomplishments of GRETCHEN as a mother, recording artist and a leader in the advancement of adult education and literacy.
Congressman BLACKBURN presented GRETCHEN with two bound copies of the statement, one for her and one for her daughter GRACE.
