The GOSPEL MUSIC ASSOCIATION (GMA) is holding a "SAVE THE GMA" fundraiser on MONDAY, OCTOBER 12th at the LOVELESS CAFE in NASHVILLE. The event includes a dinner and concert. Performing at the concert will be AMY GRANT, MICHAEL W. SMITH, CASTING CROWNS, MERCYME, NATALIE GRANT, KIRK FRANKLIN, POINT OF GRACE, FISK JUBILEE SINGERS, THE BOOTH BROTHERS and producer BROWN BANNISTER. The artists are donating their time and expenses to the event.
In a release from GMA, Board of Directors chairman ED LEONARD stressed that the event is intended to do more than just “save the GMA” from the current financial needs it faces, due in part to the economic recession, and that the Board of Directors is committed to building a GMA that is relevant for the future.
GMA announced on FRIDAY (9/25) the opportunity for the public to buy tickets to attend the dinner and show. The $1,000 ticket price covers event production costs and a donation to the GMA. Tickets are available by calling the GMA office at (615) 242-0303, ext. 238. The event will be from 6-11p (CT) on OCTOBER 12th at the LOVELESS BARN, a performance venue added to the LOVELESS CAFE.
