MARK RAMSEY MEDIA and the RADIO ADVERTISING BUREAU OF SOUTH AFRICA will collaborate on strategies and best practices that illustrate radio’s unrivalled ability to connect products, services, and consumers -- even in a recession-plagued world of limitless media choice. MRM will provide RAB SA with video and written commentary on topics such as radio’s digital integration, guidelines on how to use radio in a recession as well as why frequency’s "three impressions" rule is outdated.
"Having officially launched in JANUARY 2009, the RAB SOUTH AFRICA is speedily carving a new role for itself as a reservoir of fresh and exciting ideas on how to use radio effectively," MRM Pres. MARK RAMSEY said. "I'm excited about being part of this robust exchange of ideas with a new audience of broadcasters and advertisers, and look forward to fostering a global radio conversation."
"As the champion of the medium of radio in SOUTH AFRICA, our primary goal is to guide advertisers, marketers, media planners, strategists, buyers and creative experts towards the more effective and creative use of the medium and, in so doing, move radio higher up the advertising agenda," RAB SA GM NORMAN GIBSON noted. "That said, MARK RAMSEY is a renowned authority on the effectiveness of radio and on marketing best-practices worldwide and we're confident that this partnership will bring his expertise to SOUTH AFRICAN marketers, agencies, and stations, and cement/solidify our commitment to meeting our objectives."
