The last radio station ownership company on the LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE has been delisted after cancelling its listing from the exchange's Alternative Investment Market this morning. THE LOCAL RADIO COMPANY, majority-owned by UKRD, pulled its listing at 4p/share, having previously said that the cost of listing were too high for its operation. Former station owner UBC RADIO, which continues as a production company, continues to be traded on the AIM, although it does not any longer own stations.
THE GUARDIAN also reports that TLRC parent UKRD is rebranding three local TLRC stations, including ALPHA 103.2/DARLINGTON, COUNTY DURHAM, DURHAM FM/DURHAM, and MINSTER NORTHALLERTON/NORTH YORKSHIRE, under its STAR RADIO brand.
