The FCC's Media Bureau has on its own motion suspended indefinitely the requirement for stations to file the new Form 323 biennial ownership report. The Commission had previously extended the filing fate from OCTOBER 1st to NOVEMBER 1st, and has now suspended the requirement pending the OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET's review and approval of the new form. Once the new form gets the OMB's OK, the filing date will be set as no earlier than 30 days after the date of public notice of OMB approval. The date set for when information submitted on the form must be accurate has also been extended from OCTOBER 1st to NOVEMBER 1st.
In other FCC action, PIKES PEAK COMMUNITY COLLEGE has been fined $1,000 for late license renewal application filings for FM translators K228EY/PUEBLO, CO and K260BZ/MANITOU SPRINGS, CO. The fine has been reduced from $14,000 to be consistent with similar cases.
Also, TEA-VISZ, INC. was fined $250 for a late license renewal application for FM translator W272AY/PARK FALLS, WI; and BIG SKY OWNERS ASSOCIATION INC. was fined $500 for the same infraction at K257AE/WEST FORK, MT.
