VIN SCULLY inks a two year deal to continue as the voice of the LOS ANGELES DODGERS, and, added to the year remaining on his present contract, the deal brings SCULLY through the 2008 season, which will be his 59th with the club.
SCULLY, 78, joined the DODGERS in BROOKLYN in 1950 and moved with the club to L.A. in 1958. His duties have been cut back somewhat in recent years to limit road trips, but he remains one of the few broadcasters in major league baseball to work without an analyst or partner. SCULLY, RICK MONDAY, and CHARLEY STEINER call DODGERS action on CBS News KFWB-A, CBS-owned independent KCAL-TV, and FSN WEST 2.
