Emmylou Harris Receives Honorary Berklee Doctorate

EMMYLOU HARRIS was presented with an honorary doctor of music from BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC at SAN FRANCISCO's HARDLY STRICTLY BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL on SUNDAY (10/4). BERKLEE Pres. ROGER BROWN made the presentation, along with LINDA RONSTADT and EARL SCRUGGS, who are both honorary doctorate recipients.

BROWN said in a statement: “Not only is EMMYLOU HARRIS a consummate musician, an inspired songwriter and a singer with a crystalline voice, she has also been a friend, mentor, collaborator and supporter of many wonderful musicians throughout her career. She has a magnificent artistic vision and a
magnificently generous spirit as well.”
