WWNU Taps Charlie James For PD/Mornings, From Crosstown WCOS

DOUBLE O RADIO Country WWNU (NEW 92)/COLUMBIA, SC has tapped former crosstown competitor, CLEAR CHANNEL Country WCOS/COLUMBIA, SC morning personality CHARLIE JAMES for PD/mornings. JAMES spent eight years at WCOS, and prior to that was at BEASLEY Country WXKC/AUGUSTA, GA. 

Also joining WWNU is MACKENZIE TURNER (JAYMIE GORDON) for afternoons. TURNER is returning to WWNU and replaces GLEN GARRET, who exited. She was previously there as morning co-host, leaving in OCTOBER, 2008. GORDON has also done a stint in WEST VIRGINIA, and prior to that, spent 8-years at ENTERCOM Country WGGY/WILKES-BARRE, PA. 

JAMES replaces PD TYLER RYAN and his morning co-host KEN HERON, who departed back in AUGUST after airing " inappropriate content." JAMES will be taking music calls on WEDNESDAYS from 10a-12p at (803) 753-6804.
