WRKO's Finneran Continues Battle Against Disbarment

ENTERCOM Talk WRKO-A/BOSTON morning host TOM FINNERAN is battling disbarment from the MASSACHUSETTS bar over his 2007 guilty plea to felony charges of obstruction of justice for lying about his involvement in a redistricting plan, and his attorney asked the Supreme Judicial Court THURSDAY to give the host special treatment because he did not have an "evil motive."

The BOSTON HERALD reports that attorney ARNOLD ROSENFELD told the court that FINNERAN "ought to be treated differently" from other lawyers facing disbarment for felonies, because his violations did not rise to "evil motive." Arguing for suspension rather than disbarment, ROSENFELD said that FINNERAN "was proud of the fact that he represented a majority minority district, and that led to his anger, resentment and agitation. Does that make it OK? No, but it’s a factor to be taken into consideration."
