UMGD Moves Up Thanksgiving Holiday Street Date

NARM reports that UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP DISTRIBUTION and their labels have made MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23rd the street date for their titles for the upcoming THANKSGIVING week only. Other major label groups may follow suit.

Ostensibly the reason for the street date change is to give retailers the chance to re-order on fast-selling titles and get product back in stock for the long weekend, which can positively impact sales at the start of the big holiday selling season.
