Longtime Promoter Bob Patton Dies

Condolences to family and friends of longtime music promoter BOB PATTON, who died OCTOBER 7th of an aortic aneurysm in ATLANTA, according to the ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION. He was 70.

PATTON was working at WDAO/DAYTON, OH in 1968 when he took a job working for JAMES BROWN as advance man, promoter, and booker, and moved on to handle a wide range of acts. His BOB PATTON ASSOCIATES was based in BROOKLYN and ATLANTA.
