Taylor Swift Nominated For 6 American Music Awards

PAULA ABDUL, ADAM LAMBERT AND SNOOP DOGG unveiled the 2009 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS (AMAS) nominees TODAY (10/13) from the BEVERLY HILLS HOTEL, and BIG MACHINE star TAYLOR SWIFT leads the 2009 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARD nominations, The fan-voted AMAs cover all genres of music, and TAYLOR picked up six nods total in the multi-format, Pop/Rock, Contemporary Inspirational, AC and Country categories.
EMINEM follows with four (4) nominations and BEYONCE, BLACK EYED PEAS, LADY GAGA, KINGS OF LEON and T.I. collected three (3) nominations respectively. LADY GAGA, EMINEM, KINGS OF LEON, MICHAEL JACKSON and TAYLOR SWIFT round out the lineup of 2009 Artist of the Year nominees.
JASON ALDEAN, DARIUS RUCKER and KEITH URBAN were nominated for the Country "Favorite Male Artist" category, and TAYLOR, REBA McENTIRE and CARRIE UNDERWOOD are up for Country "Favorite Female Artist."
RASCAL FLATTS, SUGARLAND and ZAC BROWN BAND will be vying for the Country "Favorite Band, Duo or Group," and the Country "Favorite Album" nominees are RASCAL FLATTS ("Unstoppable"), TAYLOR ("Fearless") and ZAC BROWN BAND ("The Foundation").
ZAC BROWN BAND and GLORIANA are also up for the "T-MOBILE Breakthrough Artist" award.
ALICIA KEYS, BLACK EYED PEAS, JENNIFER LOPEZ and ADAM LAMBERT were also announced as performers for the 37th annual AMAs.
