HALL COMMUNICATIONS Country WCTK (CAT COUNTRY)/PROVIDENCE morning show TIM LEARY & The MORNING SHOWGRAM is teaming with “Operation Warm Hometown Hugs" to collect knitted/crotched scarves for active military men and women overseas during the holiday season.
On this morning's show (10/15), LEARY challenged Technical Dir. AMANDA LEONARDO to knit 20 scarves in a month. LEARY said that he'll purchase the yarn. He will also match every scarf she knits with a purchased scarf. LEARY said that CAT COUNTRY listeners will be involved, knitting scarves as well: “Everyone from former military to the Greater BOSTON Knitting Coalition (which I didn’t know existed) to a four-year-old little girl are getting ready to knit their scarves for our troops overseas”
