Cox Considers Moving Dayton Radio, TV Stations

COX MEDIA GROUP is considering a move of Talk WHIO-A-F, Country WHKO (K99.1 FM), and Classic Hits WZLR (95.3 THE EAGLE), plus CBS affiliate WHIO-TV, into its DAYTON DAILY NEWS building, the paper reports. A statement from VP ALEX TAYLOR notes, "No decisions have been made at this time, but the company is giving careful consideration to the possibility of such a move."

The company has launched a feasibility study to determine how best to implement the move, which it says would allow the media properties to work together. The radio and TV stations presently occupy their longtime home at 1414 Wilmington Ave. in DAYTON.
