U.K., Australian Radio Personality Mike Ahern Dies

Condolences to family and friends of former British and Australian radio personality MIKE AHERN, who died OCTOBER 5th of lung cancer at 67, according to the EASTERN DAILY PRESS.

AHERN worked at legendary pirate RADIO CAROLINE before a very brief (one show) stint at BBC RADIO 1 in OCTOBER 1967. He then worked at several stations in AUSTRALIA (including 2UW/SYDNEY, 4BC/BRISBANE, 6PM/PERTH, 3UZ/MELBOURNE, and others) and later returned to the U.K for runs at several stations, including CAPITAL GOLD, PICADILLY RADIO, ESSEX RADIO, NORTH NORFOLK RADIO, and others.
