Z100 Airs 'Yankees Run This Town'

CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40/Mainstream WHTZ (Z100)/NEW YORK is playing up the ALCS by airing the song "YANKEES Run This Town," which is a re-write of the hit song "Run This Town" by JAY-Z, RIHANNA and KANYE WEST.

This new version was written by ELVIS DURAN and The Z100 Morning Show Exec. Producer DAVID BRODY. "The requests for the song have been through the roof and the press and web coverage has been tremendous," BRODY noted. "Even gossip god PEREZ HILTON and THE L.A. TIMES picked up the story after it was featured on consecutive days by the N.Y. DAILY NEWS. All of that is with very talented parody singers singing it. However, if JAY-Z sang my version it would be the pinnacle of my song writing career. He is a legend and a huge YANKEES fan."

To date, JAY-Z has not committed to singing it. The special YANKEES-only version debuts tonight at YANKEE STADIUM for Game 1 of the ALCS.
