KUPL OM/Mornings Lee Rogers To Retire

ALPHA BROADCASTING Country KUPL/PORTLAND, OR OM/PD/morning icon LEE ROGERS has announced to the station staff that he will retire from radio on DECEMBER 18th, 2009. He will make a public announcement on his morning show OCTOBER 26th.
ROGERS has worked with KUPL since JANUARY, 1995 taking on the role of OM/PD. He soon transitioned into the morning show where he played host for 14 years.
"It is with a great deal of excitement and an equal amount of sadness that I announce that DECEMBER 18th will be my last day on the air here at KUPL," ROGERS stated in a letter to his co-workers. "JANUARY 1st will mark the end of my 41st year in the radio business. As OM and Morning Show host, some of my proudest moments have been during the past 15 years here at KUPL." he continued.
