WELE Owner Wins Release, Trial Delay

WINGS COMMUNICATIONS Talk WELE-A/DAYTONA BEACH owner and host DOUG WILHITE was released from jail on his own recognizance and his trial on sex charges has been delayed until NOVEMBER 16th by a FLORIDA court.  

WILHITE was arrested and taken into custody last week on new charges, but the arrest was reversed as "frivolous" by the judge; his bail bondsperson then revoked his bond over concern that he is a flight risk. At a MONDAY hearing, Judge R. MICHAEL HUTCHESON freed WILHITE and gave WILHITE's attorney a continuance from the original trial date of TODAY (10/20).

WILHITE, a nudist, faces charges of child abuse, lewd and lascivious conduct, and other related charges for several alleged sexual incidents with local teenagers. He was initially arrested JULY 9th.
