NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO Director of Diversity Management WALT SWANSTON has exited the network, reports the MAYNARD INSTITUTE's RICHARD PRINCE.
SWANSTON was named to the post in 2003 and is leaving for health reasons; she joined the network from the RTNDF and previously worked at UNITY: JOURNALISTS OF COLOR and the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BLACK JOURNALISTS, and was Executive Editor at GANNETT CBS affiliate WUSA-TV/WASHINGTON and a reporter/producer for PBS affiliate WETA-TV/WASHINGTON.
