The MIAMI DOLPHINS have hired ENTERCOM NEW ENGLAND VP/Sports Sales and Marketing JIM RUSHTON as SVP/Corporate Partnerships and Integrated Media. RUSHTON, who managed sports sales for Sports WEEI-A/BOSTON and WEEI.COM and the RED SOX and CELTICS networks, will oversee the revenue and support services for all DOLPHINS sponsorship assets, as well as the team's broadcasting deals, including the DOLPHINS RADIO NETWORK. He starts with the NFL club NOVEMBER 9th.
"We are thrilled to be adding someone of JIM's caliber to our senior management team," said DOLPHINS CEO MIKE DEE. "He has a passion for sports and a proven track record of generating significant revenue growth for each and every sports property that he has been associated with in his many successful years at ENTERCOM. The sports sponsorship landscape continues to evolve with new technologies and JIM's broad-based media and team experiences make him uniquely qualified to lead this important area of our organization."
"The opportunity to work with an organization so steeped in tradition yet focused on breaking new barriers is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," added RUSHTON. "I have tremendous respect for what Mr. (STEPHEN) ROSS (the team's owner) and MIKE have started to build in SOUTH FLORIDA and I am anxious to contribute to their goal of making the DOLPHINS business operation one of the elite organizations in the NFL."
