ESPN RADIO's NEW YORK and PHILADELPHIA affiliates will simulcast their local afternoon shows on WEDNESDAY before Game 1 of the WORLD SERIES. ESPN Sports WEPN-A (1050 ESPN)/NEW YORK's MICHAEL KAY and GREATER MEDIA Sports WPEN-F (97.5 THE FANATIC)/PHILADELPHIA's MIKE MISSANELLI will simulcast 2-7p live from THE DUGOUT across River Ave. from the new YANKEE STADIUM in the BRONX before the YANKEES and PHILLIES play the series opener.
Both stations will air ESPN RADIO's game coverage that night, starting with the pre-game show at 7p ET.
As part of the promotion, WEPN PD AARON SPIELBERG is betting some NEW YORK cheesecake against WPEN PD MATT NAHIGIAN's wager of cheesesteaks on the outcome of the series, which kicks off with the PHILLIES' CLIFF LEE taking on his former CLEVELAND INDIANS teammate, the YANKEES' ace C.C. SABATHIA, in a pitching matchup of CY YOUNG AWARD winners.
