  Former FCC Chairman MICHAEL POWELL is one of nine members of a new Board of Directors being appointed for AOL INC. when the company is spun off from TIME WARNER INC.
  POWELL, who served as FCC Chairman in 2001-05 and has been working for PROVIDENCE EQUITY PARTNERS, joins AOL CEO TIM ARMSTRONG; former WILLIAM MORRIS AGENCY CEO JIM WIATT; former CBS CORP. CFO FRED REYNOLDS; PALEY CENTER FOR MEDIA Pres./CEO PATRICIA MITCHELL; investment banker WILLIAM HAMBRECHT; former AMAZON.COM executive RICHARD DALZELL; consultant JAMES STENGEL; and PLAINFIELD ASSET MANAGEMENT's KAREN DYKSTRA on the board.
