WUIS Has Record Fund Drive

UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT SPRINGFIELD noncommercial WUIS/SPRINGFIELD, IL set a record for fundraising in its FALL pledge drive, pulling in over $150,000 to help cover cuts in state arts grant funding. AFSCME Council 31 helped considerably with a challenge match, and over 100 volunteers helped the station reach its goal.

The drive also marked the debut of WUIS EXPONENTIAL, an eclectic programming stream available on WUIS-HD-2 and online.
