ALPHA BRAODCASTING Triple A KINK/PORTLAND, OR PD DENNIS CONSTANTINE has announced BRAD DOLBEER as the new permanent host of the evening shift, including the long-running "Lights Out" program. DOLBEER is a PORTLAND area native and 30-year radio veteran
.
CONSTANTINE said, "BRAD grew up in PORTLAND; he is PORTLAND. It’s only appropriate that he comes home to the station that reflects what PORTLAND is all about. I’m thrilled to have BRAD as part of our KINK team. He adds a depth to our staff, on and off-the-air."DOLBEER replaces longtime night DJ SEAN MARTEN, who moved to afternoons when LES SARNOFF first took ill late last year. After SARNOFF’S passing, MARTEN remained in afternoons and station APD/MD DEAN KATTARI filled in for nights. KATTARI will continue to host "The Gamut" and "The KINK Local Music Spotlight" heard weeknights as well as "Tranceformation," KINK’s trance, trip-hop and chill show heard on Saturday nights.
"There is not a better station on the planet in my estimation," said DOLBEER. "To be given the opportunity to be the evening DJ at KINK is a lifelong dream for me. I grew up listening to KINK and my favorite shift was the evening shift [then] with Les Sarnoff. Les was my inspiration and I feel honored to be carrying the torch here at KINK."
