Chesney Tops USA Today's Top-10 Grossing Tours

BNA/NASHVILLE star KENNY CHESNEY was named the #1 grossing touring act of the summer by USA TODAY. KENNY's SUN CITY CARNIVAL tour grossed $57.6 million in 39 shows total, with an attendance of 848,000 and 96% of the seats filled.

This was CHESNEY's shortest tour to date, and he charged the lowest ticket prices of any major headliner this year. He was also the only act on the USA TODAY list to play NFL stadiums across the country.

The rest of the Top-10 touring acts included ELTON JOHN & BILLY JOEL, BEYONCE, JONAS BROTHERS, PAUL McCARTNEY, DAVE MATTHEWS BAND, COLDPLAY, AMERICAN IDOLS LIVE, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and FLEETWOOD MAC.

CHESNEY will not be touring in the summer of 2010, but he is scheduled to perform at the BAYOU COUNTRY SUPER FEST on MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND 2010 and at BAMAJAM in JUNE 2010. For more info, visit www.kennychesney.com.
