The WYNN LAS VEGAS has made it clear that they will not accept scalped tickets for the upcoming GARTH BROOKS shows. Tickets sold out shortly after going on sale SATURDAY (10/24), and now some are being sold for more than $1,000 on several ticket broker websites, according to the LAS VEGAS SUN.
WYNN stated: “It has come to our attention that you are representing yourself as a licensed ticket broker for the purpose of reselling tickets for the GARTH BROOKS concerts at the ENCORE THEATER at WYNN LAS VEGAS. Please be advised that you have not been authorized as a licensed ticket broker by WYNN LAS VEGAS, and you are not authorized to resell any GARTH BROOKS tickets for his concerts at our venue.”
WYNN has also added that they reserve the right to cancel and refund the face value of any ticket. The LAS VEGAS SUN reports that WYNN's original ticket disclosure indicated ticket holders must enter the concert with their entire party and the person who purchased them would have to show a valid photo ID.
SUN readers tell the newspaper that they were contacted by a WYNN representative after their purchase and were told to provide the name of each individual ticket holder, or else their entire ticket order would be cancelled and refunded.
WYNN would not comment on their procedures when contacted by the SUN. Click here to read more.
