CRB (COUNTRY RADIO BROADCASTERS) Executive Dir. ED SALAMON has exited. SALAMON joined the CRB in 2002 replacing PAUL ALLEN, and previously SALAMON has had a long career in broadcasting.
Most recently he was President at WESTWOOD ONE, and spent many years at UNITED STATIONS RADIO NETWORK, the company that he helped launch. He also programmed the former Country outlets WHN-A/NEW YORK and WEEP-A/PITTSBURGH.
CRB President and CBS RADIO Country KMPS/SEATTLE BECKY BRENNER made the following statement: "For the past 12 months, the CRB has conducted an extensive review of its operations in terms of the organization's administrative functions and the execution of its flagship event, COUNTRY RADIO SEMINAR. As a result of this review process, the CRB Board of Directors has initiated several internal changes, which are designed to keep the organization growing in this very challenging economic climate. A number of adjustments have already been made. As we continue our ongoing effort to ensure the vitality of our organization and achieve our mission of growth through sharing, we do anticipate additional changes."
