SOUTHERN WABASH COMMUNICATIONS Sports WNSR/NASHVILLE middays 'THOM ABRAHAM Show' is doing what it can to help lift the Curse of the Terrible Towel from the TENNESSEE TITANS. The TITANS are winless since LENDALE WHITE and KEITH BULLOCK stomped a Terrible Towel after beating the PITTSBURGH STEELERS 31-14 at LP Field on DECEMBER 21st, 2008.
ABRAHAM and former TITAN BRAD HOPKINS arranged for WHITE and BULLOCK to sign a Terrible Towel after THURSDAY’s practice, and then overnighted it to the ALLEGHANY VALLEY SCHOOL in PITTSBURGH, the non-profit organization that benefits from former PITTSBURGH area broadcaster MYRON COPE’s "Official Terrible Towel" sales.
"The players were happy to do it, especially for the charity, and KEITH BULLOCK even asked how he could make an additional financial donation," ABRAHAM said. "We can't figure out what has happened to this team, so we figure it had to be the Towel!" added HOPKINS, "We used show contributor AL LLAMAS to execute the process since he is a STEELER fan, and HOP and I refused to actually touch the towel." joked ABRAHAM.
