BAY AREA RADIO MUSEUM Creator/Operator DAVID F. JACKSON will be shutting down both the online museum and the radio hall of fame, writes BEN FONG-TORRES in THE SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE.
"I can no longer sustain this project on my own," JACKSON wrote on his site.
JACKSON told FONG-TORRES, "The more time I spend on the radio and museum, the less I do on my job."
JACKSON has built a skeletal site at www.bayarearadio.org. "It's just text -- no audio. That's the biggest expense, for bandwidth," he said. "Now, it's not going to go away, but without volunteers, it's going to die."
