REDDING NEWS REVIEW syndicated host and website founder ROB REDDING is adding to his already busy schedule with a new website, BLACKTALKERS.COM. The site, dedicated to covering the Black Talk media industry, will include news and listings for nearly 30 Black Talk-formatted radio stations, as well as TV and radio hosts on its "Talented 10" lists.
REDDING said that he launched the site because more than 20% of people who listen to talk radio are black, "And that tally does not include Black Talk-formatted radio stations. Black talkers and their listeners are the most neglected in Talk radio today and BLACK TALKERS fills that need." He noted that OPRAH WINFREY is the "most-watched woman in the world" and that the Black Talk format "dates back to the civil rights movement and MARTIN LUTHER KING literally organizing his movement on the first black-owned and programmed radio station in AMERICA, WERD-A in ATLANTA."
