Downtown Music Launches New Offering

DOWNTOWN MUSIC has launched DOWNTOWN MUSIC SERVICES (DMS), a newly formed sync licensing and administration, strategic marketing and branding agency. DMS represents numerous independent record labels, artists and content owners, connecting premium independent music with film and television, commercial advertising, video game and online communities.
The announcement was made by Chairman/CEO JOSH DEUTSCH and Pres. JUSTIN KALIFOWITZ who will also serve as head of DMS.
"DMS offers the independent music community broad marketing opportunities and access to a growing revenue stream that has historically been managed by major label groups," said KALIFOWITZ. "As traditional retail sales decline and the music industry searches for new ways to monetize assets, DMS will enable independent labels and content owners to capture significant licensing and strategic marketing revenues. As the central licensing hub for the independent community, DMS will offer music supervisors, brands and agencies a unique catalog and licensing experience."
