CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO’s TOTAL TRAFFIC NETWORK now reaches more than 125 million users, spanning broadcast, mobile and in-vehicle devices. Fueling the impressive gain, CCTTN signed a direct-to-vehicle deal with MAZDA. MAZDA joins other leading automotive OEMs including BMW, MINI and VOLVO in offering the service.
"The OEMs that offer our services are known for producing the industry’s highest quality vehicles and we’re proud to provide their drivers with access to the most accurate, reliable traffic service on the market," said SVP LANCE LOCHER. "In just two years, we’ve doubled our contracts with automotive OEMs, expanded our coverage area, increased the number of RDS and HD markets, and grew our subscriber base to more than 125 million."
The company also today announced the first HD RADIO-based device for vehicles from CYDLE, which will allow customers to receive traffic updates 10 times faster than other broadcast and satellite services.
