Franklin For The Cure Raises $53,000

FRANKLIN 4 THE CURE, a RACE 4 THE CURE all-day event which took place in FRANKLIN, TN, has announced that they raised over $53,000. The event was organized by the WEST HAVEN FOUNDATION. The proceeds will benefit THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY, CURE SEARCH NATIONAL CHILDHOOD CANCER FOUNDATION and MONROE CARROLL JR. CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL at VANDERBILT.

Country artist DEANA CARTER played at a post race concert for the event. Concertgoers were also shown a video that featured two local families who have children undergoing treatment. Click here to see the video.

Next year FRANKLIN 4 THE CURE will take place in SEPTEMBER and plans are underway for another concert as well.
