NEW SOUTH RADIO Country WUSJ (US 96.3)/JACKSON, MS will hold a week-long food drive called "Stuff The Bus" beginning NOVEMBER 16th.
The station will broadcast live from several locations in the area to collect turkeys, hams and other food items to "stuff" in the BROADMOOR BAPTIST CHURCH bus. All donations gathered will go to the MS FOOD NETWORK, based in JACKSON.
Morning host SCOTT STEELE said: “We’re hoping the community responds by coming to help us literally stuff this bus full of food. This is a big bus…it’s going to take a lot of food to fill it up. I’m excited about the possibility of helping a lot of people who don’t know where their next meal is coming from. Hopefully this will help raise awareness that hunger isn’t just a problem on the other side of the world, it’s a problem right here in our own backyard.”
