BBC Radio 3 Plans Ring Cycle Marathon

Classical BBC RADIO 3 will air RICHARD WAGNER's entire RING CYCLE in one 15 hour marathon on the APRIL 17 bank holiday. The performance was conducted by DANIEL BARENBOIM in GERMANY in the early 90's with ANNE EVANS singing the part of BRUNHILDE; the recording will be played over a 15 hour period with four 15 minute breaks. DONALD MCLEOD wil host the broadcast and the station will offer listeners' guides online.
