ESPN Sports WEPN-A (1050 ESPN)/NEW YORK plans live coverage of the NEW YORK YANKEES championship parade FRIDAY along the Canyon of Heroes in lower MANHATTAN and the ceremony at CITY HALL. Afternoon host and YANKEES TV voice MICHAEL KAY will eport live on site, with DON LA GRECA, BRANDON TIERNEY, and BONNIE BERNSTEIN anchoring the coverage and ANDREW MARCHAND and LARRY HARDESTY reporting from the parade route.
Former YANKEE JEFF NELSON will contribute his own memories, and will join fellow former YANKEE SPARKY LYLE and WEPN host and MLB.COM columnist SETH EVERETT live from BOBBY VAN'S STEAKHOUSE at 1p.
The station will also air a special, "1050 Presents: A Look Back at the 2009 World Series Champion NEW YORK YANKEES," noon-1p ET SUNDAY.
