  ALL ACCESS is saddened to learn of the passing of veteran radio/television announcer SID McCOY. McCOY is probably best known as the announcer for SOUL TRAIN.
  McCOY was also the principal jazz producer for the CHICAGO-based VEE JAY label in the late '50s and early '60s. He produced dates for WAYNE SHORTER, WYNTON KELLY, LEE MORGAN and EDDIE HARRIS.
  Funeral arrangements are pending.
