Wisconsin Public Radio Gets Grant For New FM

The MEAD WITTER FOUNDATION has granted $30,000 towards the construction of a new station for WISCONSIN PUBLIC RADIO to serve central WISCONSIN with its IDEAS NETWORK, reports the WISCONSIN RAPIDS TRIBUNE. The foundation will also match public contributions up to an additional $25,000.
The station, WHAA/ADAMS, WI, will serve WOOD, PORTAGE, ADAMS, and WAUSHARA COUNTIES with a Class C2 facility on 89.9 FM and is projected to launch by JANUARY 1st.
