KDAY Sets New Management Structure

New Hierarchy

MAGIC BROADCASTING Rhythmic AC KDAY/LOS ANGELES has finished the reorganization of its management hierarchy.

The revamp started with the hiring of ZEKE CHAIDEZ as GM. Previously, CHAIDEZ was the COO of HEFTEL MEDIA. "I am excited to be involved in a format that is as fun and as relevant to this city,' CHAIDEZ said. "I was born and raised in LOS ANGELES and am very familiar with the KDAY heritage and am looking forward to the re-birth of KDAY. The station is off to a great start and will be even more incredible once the team puts their signature to each of their departments."

CHAIDEZ then assembled his new team, first appointing DEREK BEESEMYER as GSM. BEESEMYER came from ABC RADIO/LOS ANGELES. Next hired was BRIAN BRIDGMAN as OM (NET NEWS, 11/4). "This is a tremendous opportunity,'BRIDGMAN said. "K-DAY was at the forefront of the Hip-Hop movement for the WEST COAST in the late '80s. The excitement level from the audience has been incredible. I look forward to working closely with GM ZEKE CHAIDEZ and PD ADRIAN SCOTT to maximize our unique brand in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA."

Most recently hired are JASON WAGERS as Marketing Dir. and SASCHA SCHLEUMER as Dir./Information Technology. WAGERS previously was APD/Marketing Manager for XHTZ/SAN DIEGO, while Schleumer last was Dir./Information Technology at KMXE-A/LOS ANGELES.
