TONY FLORENTINO, who was most recently the OM at SAGA/COLUMBUS with PD duties at AC WSNY, is taking the PD post at crosstown CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WNCI and AC WLZT, beginning MONDAY (11/16)
FLORENTINO is replacing MICHAEL McCOY, who transferred to CLEAR CHANNEL sister Top 40 WKQI (CHANNEL 95.5)/DETROIT (NET NEWS 8/4).
CLEAR CHANNEL/COLUMBUS OM JOHN CRENSHAW told ALL ACCESS, "Please join me in welcoming TONY FLORENTINO to CLEAR CHANNEL/COLUMBUS as PD for WNCI and WLZT. Most recently, TONY was OM for SAGA's 4-station cluster here in COLUMBUS which includes SUNNY 95 and MIX 107.9.
"Coupled with previous stops as an on-air talent and a programmer in NEW ORLEANS, TAMPA, PITTSBURGH and RICHMOND, VA, TONY's vast experience in contemporary formats for groups like SAGA, CITADEL and CLEAR CHANNEL will yield great benefits for our stations. In addition, we don't have to teach him about North Broadway running east and west, or Grandview Heights being down the hill from Grandview.
"I would like to take the opportunity to thank LAURA LEE for her service as interim program director for WNCI. During the last four months, LAURA has managed all aspects of the on-air product with great skill and it is comforting to know that she stands ready to help any of our stations if needed. She is looking forward to again devoting her full attention to THE BREW and RADIO 106-7."
